FURUNO FA-150 AIS (UNIVERSAL AIS) SET
Furuno FA 150 Universal AIS (Automatic Identification System). Furuno FA-150 AIS set comprises of monitor display unit FA-1502 with Transponder box (Furuno FA-1501 transponder) and GPS Antenna (Furuno GPA017S). Improve your navigation safety with Furuno FA-150 AIS transponder state of the art AIS Class A system by observing other ships installed with AIS. Real-time information exchange with other ships data including static, dynamic, voyage information and safety-related messages concerning safety within VHF coverage area.
This is a second hand / used equipment in fully working condition. All our equipment are tested and fully functional.
MAIN FEATURES OF FURUNO FA-150 AIS:
This FA-150 set comes with a compact 4.5″ LCD display monitor, a transponder unit and a GPS antenna.
The FA-150 is a universal AIS (Automatic Identification System) that is strongly capable of exchanging navigation and ship data between own ship and other ships or coastal stations.
USE OF AIS IN COLLISION AVOIDANCE:
As an anti-collision aid the AIS has the following advantages over radar:
